Shipwreck score

by inire

a shipwreck is a physical instance of a single point in time and space the term implies a mistake the error implies a person who made this mistake but a shipwreck excludes the presence of the person the ship is determined by instability, human navigation errors, the ship's construction materials, warfare, overloading and other things the wreck is determined by destruction, the depth of water and the exposure to surface, fish, fishermen and other things the shipwreck is the physical instance of a single point in time and space a point in linear or cyclical time a point in Euclidean or Non-Euclidean space With what compasses was the ship supplied? Where were they placed on board? What sounding apparatus was carried on board on its last voyage? type trawler purpose unknown propulsion steam date of built, weight in gross register tonnage dimensions in meters, power in nominal horsepower before a sleep you calculate the time till wake-up before a run you calculate the distance, every action is measurement every measurement is subject to some uncertainty they were looking around to find out where it was the landscape so unknown some shapes some of them came from the land surrounded by water some of them knew it and some did not some of them were able to talk out loud with the other wrecks, some time ago some of them did not have past they saw themselves quietly buried ashy and silent on the island

Shipwreck score is a part of the project originally developed as the audio-video performance. The construction of its onstage improvisation was based on the documentation of a wreck, Epine GY7, which sank on the night of March 13th, 1948 off the west coast of Iceland. Field recordings and photos of iron remains were the main material for the production of images and sounds.
This album is a musical part of the whole.
